Samsung Techwin has become the first company to develop a digital camera capable of playing movies and animations downloaded from the Internet, showing that digital camera makers are entering the PMP (Portable Multimedia Player) market. R&D for the new device is expected to be completed by January 2006. Although Techwin has not yet announced detailed product specs, the digital cameras are likely to resemble Techwin's MP3 digital cameras released in September 2005.
